Four MOVE students were named as recipients of 2019 Vertical Flight Foundation Scholarship awards through the Vertical Flight Society. These awards recognize outstanding students working in vertical flight, with specific awards named in honor of different pioneers of the field.

RPI was pleased to welcome Dr. Christina Ivler from University of Portland as Spring 2019 Colloquium Series Lecturer.

Dr. Ivler's seminar, entitled "Scaling Methods for System Identification and Handling Qualities Analysis for Small-Scale Unmanned Aerial Systems" was presented on January 23, 2019.

New doctoral student has joined MOVE starting in Spring 2019

Prof. Farhan Gandhi, the Rosalind and John J. Redfern Jr. ’33 Endowed Chair in Aerospace Engineering, and Director of MOVE, presented the Adaptive Structures Lecture from 9:30-11:30 AM on Jan 7, 2019, at the AIAA SciTech Conference in San Diego, California.

The title of his Keynote was “Reconfigurable Vertical Lift: Status, Challenges, and Opportunities.”

 

RPI was pleased to welcome Dr. Eric Greenwood from NASA LaRC as an AIAA Lecturer.

Dr. Greenwood's seminar, entitled "On-Demand Aeroacoustic Modeling for Low Noise Rotorcraft Operations" was presented on December 7, 2018.
