Richard Healy, a MOVE Graduate Student, was recently chosen as the top graduate student intern within the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Army Research Laboratory (CCDC ARL) Vehicle Technology Directorate (VTD). Healy spent the summer interning with the CCDC ARL Vehicle Technology Directorate, which is focused on enabling the next generation of air and ground vehicles.

SMART 2019, held in Paris, France, from July 8-11, aims at providing a comprehensive forum for discussing current state of the art in the field of smart structures and materials as well as at developing future ideas on a multidisciplinary level.

The title of the plenary lecture was: Reconfigurable Vertical Lift (Status, Challenges and Opportunities)

Congratulations to Matthew Misiorowski on a successful doctoral thesis defense on July 19.

Matt is headed to Bell in Fort Worth, Texas, starting in the beginning of September 2019.
