MOVE student Brendan Smith won the 2019 Robert L. Lichten speaking competition at the Northeast Regional VFS chapter meeting in Stratford, CT on December 4th, 2019. The competition is for first time presenters who have not previously presented work at a technical meeting.

Farhan Gandhi, Director of MOVE, the Rosalind and John J. Redfern Jr. ’33 Endowed Chair in Aerospace Engineering, has been elected to the Class of 2020 Fellows of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). He receives this honor for “pioneering research and academic leadership in the areas of reconfigurable vertical lift, advanced rotary-wing configurations, and adaptive aerospace structures.”

RPI was pleased to welcome Dr. A. S. Lyrintzis from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University as Fall 2019 Colloquium Series Lecturer.

Dr. Lyrintzis' seminar, entitled "Jet Noise Simulations - Towards Noise Control" was presented in October, 2019.
